Except for the first quarter, this was the defense's best game.

They may have seen those open recveivers but the Denver offense has Tebow reading only his first read, if it's not there he throws it so there will be no interception, or he runs. There is no other read than the first one. Apparently the annoucers were not aware of this, though I don't how they would not be aware of it...

By the way, I watched the game over again and when they went to the All-22 view, I rarely, if ever, saw the wide open receivers that the announcers were talking about. From what I saw, the coverage was as lockdown as it has been throughout the entire season. Again, bad pass offense. But still, there were positives to take away from this game.

You have to give major props to the coaching adjustments in this one.

Just when I thought the Pats' D had reached a new low (Steelers game), I'm watching the 1st quarter yesterday thinking, "they literally need to blow this thing up--players, coaches, everyone." Then they show BB on the sidelines, unconcerned, just figuring out what needs to be done. Even when Carter goes down, he ignores it and just keeps working to sort things out. Loved seeing that--a reminder of what makes him one of the best of all time.

And I agree with the poster who said with Chung in there it could have been a different story. Once their RBs were getting to the second and third levels, it just wasn't a fair fight with the personnel we had in there.

Regarding Ninko not being able to set the edge, yea it looked bad at first, but sometimes you just have to give the other guy credit--he got absolutely pancaked a couple of times by a behemouth-like OLineman as he was trying to slide over.

The thread has a valid point, but except for the winter, the weather in Boston ain't bad.
