Even if we lose Sunday, we can't complain

Falcons have a great team and might be able to pull out the W on Sunday. If that happens, I don't think we as pats fans can even complain. We're lucky to have seen our team have so much success over the last 16 years. 4 titles and 7 super bowl appearances. There are lifelong browns fans who haven't seen there team even make 1 super bowl.

I probably didn't need to say this but I was just thinking about it today. When I saw the pats lose to favres packers in the super bowl, I never thought I would see the pats get back again. And they've been back 7 times. It's pretty crazy.

Hope our pats win on Sunday but if they dont, it's still been an incredible run.

Don't worry, your Jets will come back next year.

Trolling tip, try to establish some sort of presence before the " it's OK if we lose post." I'm sure you've been a die hard Pats fan in the whole 4 days you've been a member.

BTW, no big deal, but wasn't there some minimum amount of posts to stat a thread so bored Jetys fans can't troll? I mean, if you can't at least bother to start an account earlier than a week before the Super Bowl...

Lol I didn't mean literally, obviously we can complain but Im just saying if we lose we've still had more success then any of us probably imagined.

Just curious. what caused a great fan like you to start an account after all the other football games have been played? New to the planet? Just out of jail? What's the sudden interest?

Most people here joined to talk about football games, you know, during a football season. Never interested until last Sunday.

Trolling pro tip. Even if you didn't think to at least join during the season, post in places other than your troll thread. It could still fool the gullible.

nah, Richie is a pats fan....just a bit misguided on what makes us special. We're Mafia. I know, seems farfetched but a really, really smart guy from NJ said we were and he's never wrong because he studies film all day long. Whack someone if the Pats lose. Drop Tomase from the top of the Pru and see if he's anything like Humpty Dumpty besides looks. Bury Felger in a box in some concrete foundation....just put "Open in 2112" on it as if it's a time capsule. We may still be winning with Belichick's great-great grandchild at the helm. Dynasties and Mafias don't die, they just live on in the hearts and memories of our children. If we lose, get mad and get even.

To the OP, dude, don't buy into the media pumping the tires of Atlanta this week. The Dirty Birds have some big-time flaws, especially on D, that the Pats and exploit and will win the game.

About 10:00 PM Sunday night there will be no more speculation.. and after we win there will still be a decent amount of concern, led by the cast of characters on Sportstalk Radio, Borges, Shaugnessy et al....

Then we can start the "BB does not know how to draft season"... then national "experts" will announce the winners of the draft and free agent signing period, the Jets will revel in their early "pre pre season victories" in mid May.. it goes on and on, quite predictable.

I got your back, man.

All these guys piling on your fourth-ever post are a bunch of front-running, entitled, BSPN-loving, Roger Goodell butt-sniffing ingrates. They know who they are.

That said, a few tips, kid:

This is the best fan messageboard in the NFL. The posters here use facts, take no prisoners, use proper English until late in the 3rd quarter when the beverage of choice is posting on its own, know football, respect women because those on the board know as much about football as the men do, understand that we are not the Patriots, love Steph Stradley and Katie Nolan, hate Roger Goodell, thank God every day for Ian, Fitzy, and Alamo, and genuinely care about each other.

Oh, and we have high standards around here just like Brady, Belichick and the other greats to have been part of this unbelievable run of excellence. It is pretty crazy.

So, richie021501, please go back, use the edit button, capitalize Pats, Browns, Favre, Packers, Super Bowl, and fix other punctuation. And, please go back and delete any implication that it's somehow acceptable for the Patriots to lose on Sunday. It isn't.

Not sure why anyone thinks im trolling. If I was I'm pretty sure I would of said something negative about the Pats, which I didn't lol. In response to one of the above posts, I started my account now rather than earlier because I hadn't come across this forum before. I thought that would be obvious lol. If the Pats win on Sunday, I will be here celebrating like the rest of you. I guess you could say I'm more cautious than most, that's just my personality type.

I'm as die hard as they come, believe me. I just approach football as the fan the way I approach anything else, expect the worst but hope for the best. If that makes me less of a fan in your eyes than so be it, we just have a difference of opinion in terms of what makes someone die-hard.

It's because we don't want to be hit with all them negative waves. Think the Patriots will win . . . and the Patriots will win. It'll be beautiful.

That's cool to, everybody approaches it differently. I respect that.

I've been " negative" for multiple reasons: A) Atlanta offense. Tough to ignore. Even with a #1 D. B) Pundits predictions. Most who pick the Pats say:" It's tough to go against BB & Goat". Yet those who pick Atlanta give x and o's type reasons. They are more specific.

I'm a BB and TB fan obviously. That won't change whether we win or lose.

Remember Oddball admonishing Moriarity in Kelly's Heroes. Negative vibes are not cool. We can take this bank...er football game. Let's DO IT! (Filled with useless movie quotes this morning). Getting the Beer in later. Always a good day. Bitter cold here. Hope you're all well. "Ire Bonorum"

I think the Patriots will win this game. They should win this game. I'll complain if they lose. But, I've seen enough big game losses to be able to handle it fairly well.

After loosing 2007, anything else is just a minor annoyance.

So what is the over/under for # of years without a Super Bowl title when I can be pissed off at a last-second loss again?

For all those that disagreed, are ya'll gonna cry if we don't win? I'll be bummed out, but it won't ruin my week cuz the OP is correct

It's just football and Pats fans have had the best run in history.

But "oh no's, I'm gonna click on the red X"

We're adults here people
