I agree with the best move which should be unanimous to everyone. I advocated for letting Chaisson walk, but signing Jones was a terrible move. I think even he is shocked at the contract he received. Lots of NFL players are getting rewarded for mediocrity these days.
I will give the team of Vrabel and Wolf the benefit of the doubt for now. People thought they were crazy to make Tonga one of their first free agent acquisitions and he was a steal. People thought they grossly overpaid for Milton Williams and he earned his contract. People thought Chaisson was training camp fodder and he played really well. They picked up Cory Durden on the trash heap and he played extremely well as a roll player and as a spot starter. People thought Craig Woodson was a reach and he turned into a day one starter and played well.
So I am cautiously optimistic about Jones especially since he was the guy they tried to target a the trade deadline last year, but the Titans refused to do business with Vrabel. He could be another player that Wolf's scouting team sees something that the teams Jones has played for haven't.
