I've noticed that this guy has been moving up over the past couple of weeks. A few draft sites have him now as a second rounder. I've even seen 2 mocks that have he in the first round.

Have they checked out his character issues and feel that is all in the past? Or, are we looking at another Pac Man waiting to hit the big bucks and then revert back to his old ways? There is no question that he has the talent.

It'll be interesting to see how these "character questions" do in the draft, the new NFL suspensions have to weigh on the minds of teams. I'd be surprised if Wright goes in the first two rounds.

On top of the character issues he also has injury concerns. Let some other team take the risk.

i consider it signigficant that Eric Wright was onthe list of Patriot interviews.

I don't know the results or the purpose of the interview; whether it was to determine or confirm their opinions of his off the field issues or a study of his physical abilities.

He was accused of rape and they found date-rape drug "Ecstasy" in the house he shared with other students. it is not clear that the drug was his. Charges were dismissed; but he transferred from USC to Nevada.

There is no question of his abilities. If he had a clean jscket, he would be ranked in the top 3-5 CBs in the first round.

has anyone doen a deeper study of his background issues? Did he know his accuser? Why were the charges dismissed? why did he transfer?

It's hard to find solid information, but here's what I've been able to piece together:

- The alleged victim was a fellow USC student. The charges were dropped when she refused to testify.

- USC determined that a disciplinary hearing would be held, and he opted to transfer rather than face potential suspension from the team. He made this decision with the full, wildly enthusiastic support of the USC football program which wanted the whole problem to disappear.

USC football is like a machine, or factory. I imagine some detective work would uncover some unsavory truths that could potentially undermine the entire operation.

/crazy cospiracy theorism slash allegations of santioned debauchery over

Edit: USC ain't the only one, either. CFB is some bad news..
