After listening to Mark Bertram try to convince me that Rowe was not the real deal or something is wrong with him this post is a refreshing breath of fresh air..

This is where I go to find out good opinions that allow be to figure out some Pats stuff, without some loudmouth trying to convince me how bad things are for this team.. this is right after he tried to tell us how meaningless the #12 stuff is on the lighthouse..

I thought with the beginning of the NFL Season that talk radio would get better, it hasn't.. they keep wanting me to distrust BB, decisions made or this team. Not everything is a conspiracy..
It's simple. The fact that Bill can operate with absolute immunity to their criticisms drives most of them utterly insane.

Was listening to that they seemed to be basing it on 2 plays against Arizona last year. Because 2 plays last year against the Pats next opponent is gonna tell you the book on Rowe.

I remember when the Pats got Talib and the opinion on him was he wasn't good and the Giants game from that year was brought up and how Hakeem Nicks roasted him for 200 yards. Comes to NE and not even a year later he was a top 5 CB in the league.

Not saying Rowe will ever be Talib but it's stupid to say anything before he actually plays with the Pats.

Remember Akiem Hicks? Ya worst defense in the league didn't want him and gave him up for a #2 TE, came to NE and was good.

Perhaps this year, but in 2017? The chances are higher IMO, especially if one of the FAs leaves.

Was just a joke. Like some people already stated: the more he plays the better the trade.

I think you missed the point. Talib and Revis were let go when they were supposed to overpay them.
Butler is probably the cheapest #1 CB you can find.

I didn't miss the point at all. Revis got paid in N.E., and Talib would have gotten paid if it weren't for Revis. It was just a poor argument on the part of the article's author.

Definitely a hefty price for a trade this time of year but I'd bet the Patriots had Rowe graded as at least a mid #2 pick so it's still a bargain. We get him for one less year but also cheaper as the signing bonus hits their cap not ours.

If he plays over 50% of the snaps that means he is doing the job. A 4th or a 3rd is a small price to pay for a good DB.

The only thing I would let that walking 320lb blob of bacon fat convince me of is the best place to get an angioplasty.

But isn't renting or "rehabilitating" veteran players then letting them go rather than overpaying them BB's modus operandi at EVERY position? Mark Anderson, Akiem Hicks, etc. etc.

It seems he really makes an effort to do it at extremely high priced positions.. maybe he feels that there is incredible value to be had coaching some more middle class players up in certain positions where possible compared to the premium price tag for a proven veteran

Im just glad BB is in charge, there is no one who can do it better so cant complain really

FWIW, CSNNE says Rowe was with the CB, not Safeties, at practice today.

I think Rowe is going to be used in the Browner role - line up against taller receivers in press coverage.
Agreed - with a good chance to replace Ryan next year if he works out. And possibly this year if injuries hit.

Generating hits on websites, twitter activity, and increasing controversy so Pats fans will call in to defend the team is what 95% of these guys care about. Period. It's not about information and credibility. It's about hits.

When in doubt, consider BB's outcomes of the last 15 years or so. It's all I need.

Give one of these deadbeats (like Bertrand) a free Ferrari and he'll do nothing but complain about the price of gas.

At the "crossover" he and Zolak were complaining about how they had to "work" on Sunday... nice "work" if you can get it.. one time revered or at least respected, they have all now hit the ****ter..
