Since 2001, there has not been a team that has performed as consistently well as the Pats, no debate whatsoever. Naturally, the bar is set at its highest and everything occurring during the regular season is simply the opening act for the real season, the playoffs. Even when they've won some great games, I found areas of concern or underperformance and in the process have really denied myself the opportunity to really enjoy some great regular season games.

I have to stop sometimes and recall the days of Ron Meyer,Rod Rust, Hugh Millen, Tommy Hodson, etc. when a surprising upset win just put me on cloud 9. Of course, my expectations were so low for some of these teams that I was just hoping to see a competitive game from them and not think about who they could draft before October was even half way over.

I found myself after last night's game scouring the posts and shows just wanting to see more and more analysis and praise.
I was so proud of my team's performance.
Who knows how the season will unfold and if each game is a grind and a struggle, then so be it. I'm going to enjoy the journey instead of constantly looking towards the end goal.

I'm impressed with this team's resiliency and resolve to come through in the clutch. Many times already this season they've won games tight when injuries and poor play were rampant.

This was exactly the type of game those championship teams won. This team is special to overcome everything they've had to go through. All that adversity and yet here they stand. 5-1.

Win, lose or draw, this team will always fight until the end, and that's what champions do.
