Maybe not good enough. Not really fair to criticize the guy for not being smart/motivated enough to learn the defense in a few days though, as he had to either beat out a DL who had been on the team for a few weeks already or Murrell, who went through the entire TC with the team before being cut.
More likely a combo of lack of talent and the fact that Murrell can also help on special teams. Murrell was a real solid special teamer for the Jets. My hope is that this is a good sign for the health of Pryor and the "well being," mentally speaking of Deaderick.
Almost unheard of to have a player (in any sport) to be showcased, in a positive way, on the front page of the Globe (today) and headlining pg. 1 of Sports Page, and then be cut that day.
Too bad.

As noted, he came up and worked for free, since it was a bye week. Missed his wife's birthday, and then got cut.
