Somehow, I'm guessing that (A) BB did not go into the season expecting Vellano and Jones to be playing an outright majority of the snaps, and (B) he's not planning on doing that next year, either.

That said, I would be quite surprised if either of them failed to make the roster next year.

Jones could stick as a 4th DT behind Wilfork, Armstead (typed with crossed fingers), and
Rookie Stud; Vellano unfortunately is a Practice Squad talent who won't have PS eligibility.

So, so so AGREE! And as my 15 year old said, "All Zo does is yell." What a step down from the rich and dignified voices of Gil and Geno. Too bad time marches on. Hope they get a different pair next year...

Iam not even sure Bob knows the game that well. I live here in the bay area and occasionally listen to raiders radio in the car and Greg Papa, inspite of being a raiders homer is just terrific with down and distance, the player, his college background, playclock etc. He is just amazing.

I really enjoy listening to KC broadcaster Mitch Holthus, Minnesota's Paul Allen, and Philly's Merrill Reese. Even ratbird caller Gerry Sandusky is tolerable to some degree. The greatness in the booth from Gino and Gil is sorely missed.
