I wouldn't say it's self-serving at all. It's certainly news worthy, especially in this forum.

Congrats to Brees, one of the game's good guys. He had an incredible 2009-10 season - and to top it off his team won the championship. And that's without even going into all the good he does off the field. It's easy to root for him.

Of course as a Pats fan, any time I see his name I also thank the Miami Dolphins for choosing to go with Daunte Culpepper rather than Brees four years ago.

Good call, no good could have come from Brees going to Miami and having WR's like marshall. Tho I have to admit, it would have been interesting to see Brady vs Brees in the same division each year. The Jets probably would be a footnote.
