Content Post Drake Maye has arrived . . .

This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

Keep on building the offensive line and see what happens.

We might have a Daniel Jonesesque leap from year 2 to year 3 What would that even look like, lol?
It would like Goro from Mortal Kombat being your QB and he has a football in each of his four arms.

Imagine Maye with a Drake London?
Drake²

Pretty sure its absolutely not an option but just for fun they picked up his 5th year option so it's pay up time very soon and if they don't think that's in their best interest then who knows.

Problem there is they tend to pay their receivers.

Hopefully this game can be a teaching moment for him. It was also a stuck reminder for me the difference between Brady and Manning. Manning wanted to finish you on every snap. That is Drake’s mentality at this moment. Brady was more of killing you with paper cuts and knew instinctively situational football. I hope he learns from this. At 1:10 in first half, score 21-7 and about to go into the half and that happens is not acceptable. He needs situational football coached into him. Check down Charlies are ok and have won championships. So is throwing into the dirt. Near a receiver that is.

Serious question:
When was the last time Maye threw the ball away to avoid the sack?

Interesting stat comparison:
Bo Nix has attempted 67 more passes than Maye (322 vs 255) this season and been sacked 25 times less (9 vs 34)
Note:
Nix averages 2.9 yds/completion less than Maye. Each with 17 TD passes.

Almost 4 sacks a game, on track for David Carr level stuff.

IIRC, doesnt Denver have one of the best offensive lines in football?

I really hope we reinvest in the line come draft time. Maye is a solid line away from having no ceiling.

8 consecutive games with a passer rating over 100.

Matches Tom Brady's 2007 season.

Brady had Moss.

Wonder what Maye could do with Moss.
This streak hes on is tied for the second longest of its kind.

Rodgers is first with 12. Wow.

This upcoming game will be his biggest test. Even moreso than Buffalo. The Bucs have some serious weapons on both sides of the ball.

I agree with the poster above. The OL needs a big upgrade and there Maye (pun intended) before ceiling to what he can do. But that's an offseason thing.

If we try to make Drake Maye play like Tom Brady, we will ruin him. He has to play to his strengths. McDaniels is too smart to make that mistake. Doesn’t mean he cannot improve at things he is less good at, but he needs to do what he is good at.

Nobody is saying he needs to play like Tom Brady. But he needs to understand that, at least right now, this team's success depends on his good health.
