You want to see how dejected other teams' fans are that Patriots are good watch this guy

Someone name Boutte will always score. You know it look good when you back dat Boutte up... with a catchable ball.

Watch any NFL on CBS segment discussing the Patriots you can find. Their panel (James Brown, Bill Cowher, Nate Burleson, and Matty “Ice” Ryan) are unbelievably giddy with admiration.

Didn't Collinsworth apply his patented "glaze" during the Sun nite broadcast? Pats fans loved it during TB12 then hated it since then. WE'RE BACK, BABY!!

Is it possible to be much better than this? Even Mahomes never truly replicated his 2018 performance. Brady never had an 07 regular season repeat. Sometimes a guy is so good than he can only go down. Crazy.

Realistically, I think improvements would come more from upgrading his weapons and his protection.

That's why it's nonsensical to be complaining about moving a few spots down or up in the draft. It's a crap shoot.

The HOF is chock full of QBs who were drafted after other QBs. Tom Brady isn't the only one.

Mayo going for the win at the end of the season actually gave us the better QB. Thanks Jerod.
So, we should have traded down and gotten McCarthy, Penix or Nix?

Isn't that your argument?

After all, lots of QB's are available after the first three picks.

really, really easy with Jaden having been injured.

If we had Jaden and Maye were injured, clearly Jaded would be the clear #1 in hindsight.

Consider the MVP race and the playoffs if AJ is added.

Everybody’s a Maye fan all of the sudden lol…

I just hope they don't go cheap on offense because they think he will make due with anyone. That's unrealistic for even the best QB's of all time (sans the obvious one).

Someone mentioned growth is not linear. Which I agree with. Sometimes it takes a bit to readjust to how defenses defend. Or, it may take awhile to be clutch in the biggest moments. He still has much to learn.

A preview of All-Access.

I am just so excited for the this team moving forward. As long as Drake Maye stays healthy, They have the structure to lock it in for 10+ years easily of high quality football where they compete for super bowls year after year.

They have the coach long term. They have the young QB long term. They have the OC long term. Locked. Locked. Locked. The only question is Maye. Will he stop taking hits, and how will his game evolve as he ages into his 30s. We don't know those things yet. No one can. But if he takes care of himself we can have damn near 20 years of great football ahead of us where we don't need to worry about 3/4ths of the top spots. That is quite a luxury.

IMO Maye as already leap leapfrogged a number of really good QBs in the top QB discussion. Not just this year or for the MVP race. Right now. I know it is still so early and we are basing it on so little tape. But when you know you know. And he isn't doing this being carried by an elite cast, he is doing the carrying. At some point it isn't just about the MVP discussion. It is about where does he rank with Lamar, Allen and Mahomes.

Here is a fun thought. He has the chance to beat Allen... Twice. Beat Lamar... And match them in the playoffs by making it to the AFCCG. IF he accomplishes those things... He has a legit argument to already be better than both and be #2 to Mahomes going into season 3. If he does that by Beating KC in the playoffs somehow. You have to put him ahead of both IMO.

Maye still has a number of hurdles to get over to be considered great, but he clearly has the head and athletic ability, as well as the quarterback skills to get there and stay there. Beating the best teams, winning high pressure games, and facing defenses a second time around are all challenges he has to face and overcome, but he looks to have everything you need to overcome those challenges. And I agree that they have the major pieces in place to build a long term contender. They have the front office and head coach, the QB, a good coaching staff, and the left tackle all in place, and another offseason like the last one good give them what they need to be considered a true contender for titles for years to come. I couldn't be happier with what they have done, they are clearly ahead of schedule of what we could have hoped for.

They're in the perfect spot in terms of coaching. Vrabel - unless something awful happens - won't be going anywhere for a long, long time. And McDaniels isn't getting another HC job and he's always been successful in NE, so why would he leave? He's got a total stud young QB to work with and a HC who will let him (Josh) cook. He couldn't be in a better position. So Maye should have two core pieces of his development in place for a long, long time. Not to mention the left side of his line are both rookies who should both get a heck of a lot better than they already are.

Watching highlights from the past few weeks I noticed something but wasn't really sure. What to make of it, but then I saw that Steve Young was talking about seeing the same thing. When Maye is throwing downfield you see him using the tips of his fingers as he's releasing it to put just the right lift and touch on the throw. And those are the throws he's dropping in the bucket, or putting just over defenders to his man. Young claims it's a technique that only elite quarterbacks can pull off, I'm not sure if that's true or not, but I really haven't seen many quarterbacks do that the way Maye is doing it. I would be interested to hear what others think about this?

He also holds the follow-through like a jumpshot.
I think it's all kind of related.

His brothers were good basketball players, I'm sure he's played plenty.

The fact that Flutie's not in your 'not given a fair chance' list is sad to me.
Obviously true, but Doug did succeed somewhere else, in this case another country!

He was much better than his contemporaries who were coddled and pampered only because they were taller.
