Drake Maye has arrived . . .

************, I don't want anyone comparing him to that asshat Rodgers. Maye is a team player, Rodgers is a Prima Donna.

Rodgers early in his career was actually not a bad guy. At least he wasn’t publicly showing what a turd he would become. It was later on that he went full diva.

You’re forgetting Josh had already has had his second opportunity.

It wasn’t like it was some normal coach firing, where he simply didn’t win enough. Both of his jobs ended with locker room mutiny that was widely known across the league.

Maybe a college program would take a shot at him at some point? But I don’t think the NFL ever goes after him for that role again.
I don't think what I'm about to say as it would mean a family move would happen but.... I think I'd love him to take over for Ferentz at Iowa. I'm an U of I grad so I likely pay more attention than others here but stable long term program that grows a lot of line men and TEs. Fairly regular trips to bowl games but not crazy bama pressure. The school definitely needs to be brought out of big ten 3 yards and a cloud of dust old school ball. But like 5 years from now.

Do we know that?

If Maye wins MVP in his 2nd season...
I think McDaniels family like’s it in NE
I also think McDaniels is in his element being an Offensive mind.
He has been giving pretty much control of the Offensive side of the ball
We will have to pay him very respectively
But I don’t think he wants to go anywhere else

I don't want him to go anywhere else either

Yea that didn't come until he was MVP Aaron.. Early on he seemed pretty down to earth... I remember he got himself on an episode of The Office because he loved the show so much

Let's say I'm traveling from Pittsfield to Cape Cod, and if I get to Northampton by noon, I'm right on time. Then let's say noon arrives, and I find I have gotten all the way to Worcester. Maybe Worcester is not exactly the ideal place to be (!), but I am ahead of schedule.

So Drake's in Worcester. Fortunately, for his sake and ours, he's still driving east.
That is if he doesn’t stop at Hurricane Betty’s for lunch

It may have taken a while for him to reveal himself, but he was always a narcissistic *******. The game was always about him, not the team.

Wolf is everyone's favorite whipping boy and for good reason with that draft.

That being said, whatever they did this year seemed to work. IDK exactly who does or did what between Wolf, Cowden, Vrabel, Groh, Highsmith, McDaniels if he has any say or anyone else... whatever the breakout was for this offseason they should try to keep it in tact IMO. It feels like they did a really good job in all areas.

Oh I think we can be sure Elliot Wolf had exactly nothing to do with it. Call it a hunch.

I keep hearing about the obvious great relationship between Maye and Josh. But does anyone have any opinion on how much credit goes to the quarterbacks coach Ashton Grant. The only flowers I have seen that has been sent his way was a blurb from Vrabel in one of the interviews this week. But media wise, absolutely nothing !!

I don't think we can be sure of that at all. He's still here. I doubt Kraft is paying him for ****s and giggles. If he was just locked in a room and told to be quiet by Vrabel/Cowden like fans here like to joke, then he'd have bene gone by now most likely. The fact he's still here points pretty strongly to the fact that, in some way, he's contributing something. Considering neither Vrabel nor Cowden were here until January there's even a good chance that a lot of the offseason prep work was headed by Wolf and the incumbents even.

Like I said, the approach they had this offseason has pretty much nailed everything. So whatever it was, keep it going. Even if Wolf truly did nothing except cheerlead, **** it bring him back to do that. Don't mess up the vibes. Keep paying everyone to do exactly what they did this year.

Oh C'mon a monkey in the Amazon could do better than Wolf in 2024. Is not only that Draft: but some terrible Contracts too Dugger - Onwenu and Rham comes to mind.

I do, and I've said it multiple times. Crowden/Vrabel/Highsmith, and Vrabel technically with final say. Groh is a scout, and Wolf is there to answer phones and do media. The first three are totally fine with Wolf taking or not taking credit for things, because they don't care if he gets another job somewhere else or not. It affects them 0%.

We’ll take all the talent; they can keep the personality.

We have a tracker, not a trailer QB.

And to think Pop Douglas just arrived: IF Pop plays like he did last week we're going to be very Tough.

Just as well they didn't do anything stupid like draft Marvin Harrison Jr cause "he's gonna be elite" or trade down and draft JJ "McAverage".

The whole take the "best player" and build up the team then get the QB theory proven wrong again, team can't run the ball mostly the same old average WRs outside of old Diggs and cause we have the quarterback and some competent coaching everything in the passing game suddenly looks better.

Getting the quarterback is part 1,2, and 3 of a 10 part plant to rebuild, the rest of the team is irrelevant if your quarterback stinks.
