I was in Phoenix for the weekend. Just flew home and as I was waiting in line at the security checkpoint up walks none other than Matt Leinart, still in the suit he was wearing in New York on Saturday, looking like he slept in it.
He looked more exhausted than any footage I have ever seen of him post game. He was followed by his dad (recognized him from ESPN yesterday who was carrying two huge shopping bags filled with Cardinals gear and Nike shoe boxes. Poppa Leinart was wearing the biggest smile I have ever seen.
Very cool.
But it might be a bad sign that the Bidwells did not arrange to have the team plane fly him home. Hopefully he was not on Southwest.
