Not to long ago, I put together a list of the players that could have been influenced by the College Head Coaches that BB knows. Those HCs include Saban (Alabama) , Ferentz (Iowa), Meyer (Florida), Weis (Notre Dame), and Pat Hill (Fresno St.). I don't know if there is a link between San Jose State's **** Tomey and BB and will not include that in my research.

During the time that BB has drafted (from 2000 to 2008) roughly 57% of the players chosen have had links to these coaches by either playing for them or playing against them. To me, That seems like a lot of players. Other think that it means nothing. Or it could just mean that these coaches provided just that little bit of input for BB to take a particular player.

What I am going to do is put together a list of players in the top 320 whom either played for or played against these coaches. Then, when the draft comes, I'll review this list and see which of the players the Pats have taken played either for or against these coaches.

Props to you on that one. I like it. Makes sense.

He coached with Al Groh too. Clint Sintim is in my thoughts with this connection.

Thanks for taking this one. It should be real interesting to see the results.

i think that is something that will keep you busy, but might end up being a waste of your time. what do you hope to accomplish? dont you think you should do that after the draft to save you a tremendous amount of time?
