Just like Tom Brady I don't think Gabriel looked comfortable at all out there last week.

Personally, if I am a DC right now, I would play a lot of 8 men in the box against the Patriots. We better find a way to make them pay for that.

I know what you're saying but there's still the TE threat too. Same page as the WR or not, Brady has some fast threats out there with the WR and TE. 8 in the box is asking for trouble. Especially as Brady and the WR should get more together as the weeks go by.

I really don't care if it hit him between the numbers...i'm giving the guy a break...for now...

Yeah - it was the guy's friggen first game of the season - 2 weeks after joining the team.

The predictions and high expectations for Gabriel and Jackson having colossal games were unrealistic and embarrassing.

If this guy has half as much talent as they say, at 6 foot 2 we've got a real keeper on our hands

The only thing that gives me pause is that they gave him up for a 5th round pick... but then again, it is the Raiders we're talking about

Well he's been learning the system longer, so not really - but one can't expect him and Brady to be fully in sync either

Thus far I think he only has one really bad drop - not a lot of catches either - but not playing as poorly as I feared... so I'm giving Caldwell a little time too
