Add up 14k a day until the last day of camp, and subtract that, plus ten weeks of pay from his salary. He would essentially make nothing next year at all, but still have to play for 6 weeks plus any play-off time. His 6 weeks of pay is probably not all that much more than his camp fines.
Plus the Pats might be able to go back and dip into his signing bonus.
The way I figured it was that Bracnh would have 54 days of holdout before he would start owing the Pats money. That 54 days would blow through the money on the last year of his contract (after taxes).
I would find it hilarious if the Pats could suspend Branch after day 54 because he would owe them money in fines.
