Is this what 4 days of constant complaining, defending and guess work comes down to, a fricken apology? Would you also like a 500 word essay on why what he did was wrong? Perhaps a chalk board filled with, "I will not video tape the opposition's defensive coordinators." Like Bart Simpson....

I see no need for an apology here, but I sure feel sorry for the Chargers who are going to feel his wrath.....BB also managed to show the world what weasel Mangini really is.

And take a reading comprehension class.

What part of "everyone" don't you understand ?

"Although it remains a league matter, I want to apologize to everyone who has been affected, most of all ownership, staff and players," Belichick said. "Following the league's decision, I will have further comment."

Think he said everyone

Re: What about the FANS.

For many years now I have felt that Belichick could care less about the fans.

Today in his statement he did not mention the fans.

I feel bad for the Patriots in all of this, but as a long time fan of the Patriots I hope Mr Belichick gets what is coming to him. He is not above the rules and he has made my favorite team look bad.

boo hoo. I don't know how you can call yourself a pats fan because i'm sure you relsihed in the superbowl wins. Change your team if you don't like it.

Like some I don't spend my entire day here.

And I don't see the word FAN mentioned anywhere.

Re: What about the FANS.

You're in trouble now.
You must hate the Patriots, right?
A true fan can't dislike any action of a Patriot.
Didn't you get the memo? Bandwagoner. j/k

Voted no, because he did.

Then maybe your not a fan???
because he doesn't need to appogize to me.

So what he has given me more wins ioer seasons along with 3 SB's being a Pats Fan since the beginning, he has given me more that I could ask for.

All I want is the team to get prepared to crush the Chargers. Screw the media and apologies.

Suck it up, big man. I've listened to this BS from co-workers who aren't Pats fans for 3 days now and guess what, it hasn't shaken my love for BB and this team one iota. I don't care if he's guilty as sin or not. I don't care how the media and general public (translation: morons) views this team. All I care about is how he wins games and how he can continue to win games. At the end of the day, it's all that matters.

Read it better:

"Although it remains a league matter, I want to apologize to everyone who has been affected, most of all ownership, staff and players, and I can't forget Brady to Brown" Belichick said. "Following the league's decision, I will have further comment."

Because of the media circus that this has become. Because, for other teams, it would normally be a distraction.

And the Pats fans aren't affected when the team they love is a constant object of ridicule and derision? Fans pay everyone's salary. No fans and no one gets paid. The number one group of people on the list that should have an apology are the fans that keep BB and everyone in the Pats organization employed in the NFL.

Thats about what I expected.

Homer.

Sure, I am a homer. You have your opinion, I have mine. I don't recall calling you any names, why are you doing that to me?

Not to bud into someone else's argument or anything , but parsing the statement, IF he implies the fans in the "everyone" part, he still is making the distinction that they are on a level below the ownership, staff and players.

I respect your opinion if you read it differently (and I hope you would be respectful that others had a different reaction to that statement), but when I read it, my reaction also was "Hmmmmm, what about the fans? - - the ones who buy tickets, pay for paraphenalia and give their hearts to the team - - shouldn't they also be in the "most of all" group? It seemed like he was making a distinction of who is most important. In proper perspective, he works in the entertainment industry - - not deciding World War III.

Some people can be mean without calling names (that would be you)

I just think the guy should mention the fans, I never said me in particular.

I guess he just has to much on his mind

Fine. I am not going to get into this with you. You have your opinion, I have mine.
Have a nice night.
