Content Post Does anyone think there is a chance Mayo is one and done?

This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

This guy is confident for being the worst HC in the NFL currently maybe that’s why he and Polk get along?

Don't forget Baker who's worse than Polk.

Although I prefer an offensive minded HC to keep Maye linked to an offensive guy Vrabel with Josh is the next best thing. I think Josh’s days as an NFL HC are over so we shouldn’t have concern about him leaving after 1 year.

The dumbest Kraft did was decide that Bill Belichick was the only problem with the regime and that he didn't need to clean house when he got rid of him and have a wide open search for the new era. Like I get he had issues with Bill having full control, but you weren't going to fix the rest of the system he built by just upleveling everyone else. It was too unsustainable.

And I worry that if they do make a change they are going to still be stuck in the past and go as familiar as possible with this supposed Vrabel/McDaniels thing that is taking off.

Team needed to move foreword and not look back. Still does. Dynasty is over. You aren't going to replicate it, you can maybe build a new one for the modern era if you play it smart

Vrabel never coached for Patriots. He woukd bring toughness, experience and proven NFL leadership.

It ain’t gonna happen thought..I understand.
Kraft is not going to admit he made a colossal mistake after only one year.
This franchise is stuck with Mayo

I still don’t hate a lot of the moves Wolf made this offseason retaining guys on incentive deals. Also thought the Judon trade ended up being a really smart move.

He’s been far from perfect, but I think he’s far from being the biggest problem here. Remember that Mayo was not his choice.

?

After Ownership itself, Management is Indeed the next-biggest problem this disorganization faces.

Pete Carroll had supporters among the players.

Some players’ top priority is not winning, and that is another reason to clean house.

Let those players make their millions on some other team.

Yep, including Dee Wise himself. Dude's always been too much talk for the little action he provides. ****ing slackers like him need to just shut the **** up.

I think you're right. And I think Wolf's job will come down to how well he fixes the Oline and WRs.

He had his chance; and, as DeNiro said to Stallone in Copland, he BLEW IT!

**** all this ****ing Second Chances ******** for everyone. This is the ****ing NFL.

I agree but I am judging Wolf on the job he did with the Oline and WRs this year. After all, these positions were at the top of the list last year so he earned an F this year, right? What reason do we have to think he’ll do better next year?

Thank you.

I don’t disagree. I just think Kraft will give Wolf more time, probably at least partly because he doesn’t want to pay for Wolf and a new GM at the same time.

Greg Bedard and Nick Cattles did a show yesterday and they lit into Mayo.

Greg pointed out that the real problem is diminished capacity from Robert and he doesn’t see it.

He doesn’t know how upset the fans are with Mayo.

He said that Jonathan sees it, and our hope is that Jonathan can somehow take the reins or otherwise get through to Robert.

Vrabel heavily criticized Kraft for players not receiving any benefit from Patriot Place, he was immediately traded to K.C., although it’s unclear whether Kraft pressured Belichick to get rid of him, or Belichick just decided it was time to move him. Either way it could impact a decision to hire him.

They also discussed what people have been discussing here, and that is the real possibility of a loss of fans and revenue if they don’t address this correctly.

I'm not averse to cleaning out the whole house and replacing every single front office position.

But knowing Mr. Kraft he will give Mayo at least 1 more year to prove he can't cut it.

At the very least we will need new OC/DC/OL coaches.

And I'm also in favor of clearing out all the WR scouts and replacing them. That department has been a disaster for 2 decades now, it's time to say no more to that!

I 100% agree with Bedard here and that’s the main reason I want Mayo fired.

He delegates everything so he can cover his ass and throw everyone under the bus

I really feel like we're going to be the Chargers for a while. Middling team with a good QB that can't win enough games consistently. And we'll linger there until Kraft finally realizes it and hires whoever that year's version of Harbaugh will be. And then it'll be a quick transformation. But until then it's going to be ugly.
Middlng ? with this crew ? if we can only be that lucky ...
