Sixteen players on IR when every other SB teams had a maximum of eight. If you wonder why we couldn't defend the run & pass up the middle, look at that list and also add Harrison and Hawkins who were injured, Colvin who wasn't feeling well, and also Kevin Faulk wasn't available for third down duties either.

Don't you htink the pass defesne migh thave been bettter is Geno or Tebuckey or Gay were available even if Harrrsion and Hawkins weren't?

Not that anybody responded, but I wondered out loud whether the switch to fieldturf had anything to do with the injuries... I meant as in, whether the switch was in part motivated by the number of injuries, not the other way around. In other words... how many of our plague of injuries typically happen at home versus away? Was the field a possible culprit?
