Right now, he's on pace for 4878 yards.

And here are the pass defenses he has to face:

Saints - Def PR: 57.83 (1st)
Dolphins - 82.53 (17th)
Carolina - 79.35 (11th)
Buffalo - 64.47 (2nd)
Jacksonville - 93.85 (27th)
Houston - 81.53 (15th)

That would be awesome, but to be honest I hope that Pats start stuffing the ball down their opponents throats... so probably not if that happens.

Do you think Brady could win MVP if he throws 35 tds with like 4500+ yards and 12-4 or 13-3. NOBODY has mentioned Brady it has just been Favre and Manning..

i'd rather have Brady win Superbowl MVP than the league MVP, Manning can accumulate all the regular season MVP's he wants.

Tom always looks angry and doesn't talk to much
... this seems to be working in keeping his name out of the media.

Tom would need to average 325.167 y/g starting Monday night.

This is a meaningless stat, only one stat means anything... and it starts with W and ends with an N...

No awards for 5,000 yards.

I would rather not see him pass for 5000. We need to get a run game going and be able to confide in it.

Like to see Brady keep his pace. It'll all play out end of season. Numbers are always there. This Pats team needs to be well oiled come playoff time. It's a tribute to Brady how well he is responding from a season ending knee injury to bounce back like he is. People just take him for granted because he's Tom Brady. 5000 is nice but seeing Brady up on that podium holding up 4 fingers with a brand new T-Shirt is all that matters.

If you're looking at a pace for passing yards, why the comparison to opponent QB rating? Wouldn't the average passing yards per game those upcoming opponents are allowing be a better statistic to use?

I would rather not see TB5000.

It would correlate with non-performing running game.

And I think we all know how important is to have a running game in the 2nd half of a playoff game when you are trying to control the clock and close out a game against a high powered offense like the Colts or maybe a few weeks later, the Saints.

No awards for 5,000 yards.

It's still an interesting milestone. But no, I don't think he will. I think that once we get Taylor and Morris back, we're going to start running the ball a lot more... especially in the red zone. I believe he'll go over 4,500 yards though.

Saints - 229.0 (15th)
Dolphins - 235.6 (22nd)
Carolina - 185.0 (5th)
Buffalo - 200.8 (9th)
Jacksonville - 244.0 (25th)
Houston - 212.8 (14th)

I don't see it happening either. As to the MVP talk:
Last year Manning wasn't deserving of it, especially considering his rough start, but everyone was swingin by the end of the year.

This year, coming off a more serious injury, Brady has put up awesome #s, and he's not even being mentioned in the MVP talk.

Imho, Favre, Brees & TfB are equally as deserving as Horseface, but barring a late season collapse by the Dolts, Manning will get a 4th.

I am surprised no one is talking about Welker's chances of breaking the single season reception mark...but honestly, the Super Bowl is the most important thing right now, along with the Saints game...

True Dat. It's gonna be fun. I am all about seeing the Saints post that 10&1 record Tuesday morning...

Welker is on pace for 126 Receptions, so he would need another 17 to tie the record (143). Right now Welker is averaging almost 10 Receptions a game. He would need another 64 receptions to tie the record, or another 10.7 a game. In his career in NE, he has averaged 7.6 Receptions per game.

It's possible, it's just not very likely. I doubt he reaches 130 Receptions, let alone the record.

As for Brady breaking 5,000 yards, If it came at the expense of our running game, I absolutely would not want it. The Pats play 2 home games and 1 game in Buffalo in December, so the weather itself may make it almost impossible.

He's actually on pace for 138.

My bad, ESPN.com screwed up their projection. They had him projected as having played 10 games this season, not 8. Cool. Alright, that makes it a bunch more likely, but it will still be incredibly difficult to average over 10 catches a game for this 6 game stretch. I still say it's unlikely.
