It appears to me that by virtue of a great draft in 2010 and some real good defensive pickups the year before that this team has been set in many areas for years to come on defense, but the two positions that will go through a major change within as little as a few months will be OL and RB

Do you see the OL or RB having the biggest turnover in terms of number of players from the 2010 roster going into 2011?

O-line is kind of a no brainer considering our situation. No pole needed. Light,Mankins free agents as well as career threatening injuries to Neal and Kaczur. Koppen can't stand up to elite DT's and also needs help, if not a backup that can. Vollmer is the only safe bet on that line right now.

Well some think that Morris,Taylor,Faulk and the PS player (forgot his name) will be gone...that would be 4 players out of the 6.....I think Morris MAY be back because he is pretty good on STs but we could lose 3 at least at RB.

The core of Woodhead and BJGE will be back. Thats really what mattters. Count the total plays that Faulk,Taylor and Morris contributed and you will see that is not that many. Replaceable. I'd like to retain Morris though. He places very well on Special teams. There's always a place for him as long as he can do that.

I can see us drafting a rb anywhere from round 2 to 7. Some think Ingram or Leshoure early. I don't think so but if BB saw the need who are we to argue?

I'm pessimistic about Mankins returning and I don't think Connolly should be starting. I expect Light to return. Maybe they'll keep trying Kaczur at guard. Who knows...

But as someone said earlier, the core of our RB group will return and that is important.

BB drafts an OT,OG,C,OLB,DE,RB...and signs a big name FA this coming season....

Pats claim the AFC East (go 15-1 )with their only loss to Jets....and Jet fans all over declare their season a success yet again.....

But what do I know :bricks:

I guess my answer is OL, since I expect 100% of our running back starters to be in place in 2011 (Green-Ellis as #1 rb, and Woodhead as 3rd down running back).

It seems most unlikely that we will start 2011 with
Light, Mankins, Koppen, Neal and Vollmer

I would not be at all surprised if we tried to fill 2012 starting spots at OT, OG and OC in the 2011 draft. 2011 turnover will depend on which players are re-signed, and whether Belichick is willing to pay Kaczur and/or Neal over $3M apiece to play.

Offensive Line has seven or eight players; the Running Back position has four or five.

BJGE and Woodhead will definitely be back, so there is at most two or three changes at RB.

Vollmer and Connolly are probably the only locks to be on the 2011 roster; to me it's a no-brainer that there will be more turnover on the OL than at RB.
