All I want to know is this ... are the Dolphins our daddy?

All I want to know is this ... are the Dolphins our daddy?

A good Pedro Martinez reference.

I believe this team will do what it can under the circumstances and it has earned a confidence vote after all its success. One loss doesn't mean squat.

I am not holding out hope for a series of blow-out victories, but I believe the Pats will ultimately be competitive.

They have a mulligan for the entire season...I've been a Pats fan for 40+ years and have seen some truly dreadful football, this past game doesn't even make the list of awful games I've seen.

I love Mulligans

I sometimes take 2-3 per nine holes

But after that initial drive, and before I tee it up again. I usually toss out a few MF's and other pleasantries cussing my sh!t ass effort on the initial swing, and that's pretty normal. I move right along afterword. I'm not really sure why everyone is freaking out that we have a day or two of people posting dissatisfaction. Outside of the handful of people (who we all know are anyway) posting dumb "tank the season" thread, most people are just posting their dissatisfaction. It'll pass.

We just laid a turd to a division rival who we had NO business losing too. I reserve the right to bemoan a crappy effort by my team. It doesn't make me a bad fan. It makes me like every other fan of every other team. The "After all this team has done for you, how can you boo them. Your a shytty fan" posts are ludicrous.
I take the long view, in the last 35+ years, this team has broken my heart at least as many times as it's made it soar, so I guess I'll exempt myself from the "after all the good times" nonesense.

Bottom line. I loved the Pats since I knew what football was and I will love them til I draw my last breath. It doesn't not matter whether that they are great (as they have been in recent years), or they suck (like they did for many years I stuck by them).

Screw that, I'm reserving my right right to MF the crappy effort for a couple days. Have no fear, next week, I'll be right in there chuging the cool-aid and singing from the mountaintop. Living and dying by every play like I have since day 1. Thats what REAL FANS do.

Great post. Thank you.

I usually take that its a given tha a team win lose a game it seems they should win ,it happens all the time.

This morning I listened to Wilfork and Seymour, and they said they had never seen the things the fins were throwing at them EVER. And the fins had adjustments for their scheme when we tried to adjust. O I'm chalking this one up to an opponent that came in with a superior game plan they we had no idea was coming. Cassel may be another matter. I want to see how he bounces back.

Yes they get one, but I sure that the players and coaches know what they have to do to get ready for the next game and beyond

I expect the Pats to lose 5-7 games this year. At the end of the year I won't care which ones they lost or how as long as they come good in the end. I've seen a lot of bad Pats teams that really didn't care over the years and we are nowhere near to those days. In terms of attitude they can have a mulligan for this game; if they show heart for the rest of the season that is fine. I'll even give them a mulligan for the season if they try hard. If you think this is bad imagine being a Bengals or Raiders fan and having to watch talented players phone it in every week while mad owners destroy your team - now that is what being a Pats fan used to be like.

I'll give the Pats the mulligans. After what this team has done this decade, they deserve one every once in a while. I don't give the fans that are predicting a tanked season, calling for Cassel to go after one stinker of a game, or any of the other gloom and doom nonsense any mulligans. I only ask them to, once and for all, jump off the bandwagon and let us cheer for our team win or lose.

It would be one thing if they had performed this way the last three weeks under Brady.

I do think people would be flying off the bridge at this point. We'd have more topics about "body language" and crap.

I hated the showing against Miami but then again we always seem to lay an egg against Miami and Denver. The barrage of topics is a result of losing for the first time in 20+ games... Some people are just not used to it.

*shrug*

Patriots get a mulligan from me. I just don't want them to get consistently blown out of the water.
