I hate to admit this and I do try to keep up, but with Trent Green's injury, I cannot think of who the Dolphins will start at QB.

I know they have some guy named Lemon (any relation to Meadowlark?) who didn't seem to make the grade, but is still on the team.

I'm sure there's somebody else, but i can't remember who to save my life.

I'm over 50, so I think I can joke about early onset of that illness we're not supposed to mention and of course I could just look it up, but I'm hoping I'll remember before I check this thread again.

Let's see, it's not Feely, Huard's starting in KC, Culpepper's throwing TDs in Oakland and Vinnie's tossing them in Carolina, I believe.

Should I know this, will I be embarrassed by the answer? I'll check back after I do some homework.

They drafted John Beck in the second round last year, he has limited upside but is an old rookie and more ready to play than most. He will likely be their starter later in the year I would think.

I don't see why they just don't put him out there now and let him learn. Cleo Lemon will never do anything; the odds were stacked against him the day he was born and his parents named him.

CLEO Lemon will start
I kid you not

lemon will start...but i dont think it will last long...

about week 10 im thinking the rookie will take over, and thats who they will start for next seaosn...

unless of course, they decide to bring back culpepper...LOL

Thanks Bfan. That was the "we'd rather have him than Quinn" pick that was used to justify the receiver that was taken too high, that I was probably thinking of.

I can't recall the receivers name right away either, but I have decided not to worry about the unimportant things I can't remember to save on stress.

And what could be less important than the current Dullfins personnel?

If they're smart, they'll use Meadowlark or a JAG pickup so they don't get the new guy shellshocked so they might actually develop a QB instead of throwing away 2nd round draft picks.

Ha ha, I said if they're smart.

You're thinking of John Lemon. He played for the Beatles.

Lemon has some talent, a live arm, and a great deal of character. I don't get why we openly disparage other team's players, especially when the game is far from won yet.

I'd rather have Cleo Lemon as the backup to Tom Brady than Matt Cassel. Lemon is 100x more talented.

They actually drafted him this year (2007).

I seriously thought they had another quarterback besides Lemon available. Considering their lack of success at the position, I thought Lemon had had a tryout and been deemed not ready.

By paying for a fairly washed up Trent Green, it seemed to me the Fish thought so to.

So I started a little tongue in cheek thread that actually concerned our opponent. Jason Taylor was ragging on the QB position fer crissake, and he's on the team. You're perfectly welcome to ignore this thread and click on the 20 "How really really great are we?" threads or the which writer hates us remainders.

It's a free country.

The fins have a real shot at drafting Brian Brohm out of Lousiville next year
