DJ Moore anyone?

I’d rather play Diggs, Boutte and Williams.

Hollins has played 123 snaps and has 38 receiving yards.
Douglas has played 89 and has 13.

These are epically, historically bad numbers.
You cannot run a WR out for 40 snaps a game and get 13 yards and another for 30 and get 4.

This is on an offense where the Qb is #5 in passing yards in the NFL.

This is out of 205 total snaps.
Literally we have a receiver out there for every okay that contributes 17 yards a game.
This is beyond pathetic, and the solution is on the roster. How much seasoning does Kyle Williams need to produce more than 17 yard if he plays every down?
He already had 20 yards in 26 snaps. More than Douglas and more than half what Hollins has in 6 times the playing time.
How comes our Brass is not seeing that... Is Vrabel and McDaniels clients for the fellowship of the blind??

I guess but as someone who shredded all 3 ligaments in their knee once, I have sympathy for Zay being out of the AFCC.

When I watch the guy, I see an absolute menace. Would love him on the Patriots.
We Scouted him well the year we took the Fragile Gonzo.

Those were my two top players Gonzo and Flowers.
In retrospect if we knew how bad we were going to eff up future drafts.

Makes me feel like leaving the draft with 2 guaranteed players is more valuable than 1 player and 5 maybes.

Neither Boutte nor Williams play the same position as Moore. Diggs would be a question mark since Diggs is mostly playing the Z, but Moore can be both the Z and the slot. If the Pats traded for Moore, you could have Moore, Diggs, and Boutte or Williams on the field at the same time in three WR sets.

And right now, none of the Patriots current WRs have been consistent or effective enough to be deemed unreplaceable. Only Henry has been a consistent and effective receiver.

Call me crazy but I may call AZ about Marvin Harrison Jr.
Dolphins about Waddle
And Ravens about Flowers.

A 1st would be the price for any of these three.

I would happily pay it.
Why stop there? Let's go get Ja'Marr Chase for a bag of magic beans. Better yet, let's go get a DeLorean and put a time machine in it, go back and bring Jerry Rice and Megatron right out of college?

Yikes and it's not like you can act like they are contributing to some vicious rush attack as an excuse to play Hollins because of some perception of run blocking.

Sometimes you get exactly what you ask for. Never should have signed Hollins.

I didn't like the signing but I tried to buy into all the BS reasons we were supposed to like him. To your credit you were on this one from the jump and never wavered.

In other News Kendrick Bourne had 70 yards with Mac Jones in two Games *two wins*: but who's counting. But Josh McDaniels think Tarzan Mack Hollins is a superior Wide Receiver?? Is Josh McDaniels based on his judgements; the guy we want we want Drake Maye to grow with?? I was very luke warm on his hire.

how about we just get a WR that knows on 4th and 1, and you catch the ball at the sticks, you lunge forward, instead of trying to make an extra 10 yards...and how about running backs that dont fumble. our offense was fine outside of the fumbles.

The Steelers defense isn't good.

Plus this offense still needs upgrades whether it is Moore or someone else especially at WR . The WRs were not great yesterday. Most of the receiving production came from the TEs and RBs. 175 of the the 268 pass yards the Patriots got yesterday were from TEs and RBs. The Patriots desperately need WR receiving help. Boutte was the leading receiver at WR with two catches for 28 yards.

Thornton is Chiefs #1WR with amazing hands now???
This is getting ridiculous. Next thing we're going to see is Polk becoming a pro bowler with Rattler and the Saints.

Aright miracles do happen let's not over do it.

He's the same skinny fragile player. It's a matter of time.

Why is Josh getting the blame? Are you privy to what recommendations he made to Vrabel, Cowden, and the group that actually picked the roster?

i agree, the steelers defense isnt good. we had 2 turnovers from the 1 yard line. we had 3 other turnovers, all fumbles. the mathematical odds of losing 4 fumbles out of 4 is 4%. we had self inflicted wounds, and bad luck. we should have had around 28 or so points, if not for the fumbles.

receivers arent great but i think they are good enough. im hoping we start seeing a little more of kyle williams, who can hopefullly give us a little bit of a downfield threat. i expected going into the game, an offense that would look to pass alot to tight ends and running backs, getting ball out quickly to counter the steelers pass rush.

It doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to see that; Tarzan Mack Hollins is waste of many snaps out there. He doesn't threaten the Defense and Pop Douglas is a stumbling bumbling fool out there.

I don't like Mack outside but I'm fully on-board with him in the slot for 10ish snaps a game...

1. He's a big target in the slot for Maye
2. He know where to find the soft spots in coverage
3. He's a good blocker for running plays
4. He's not taking reps from Diggs, Boutte and Williams on the outside
5. Sometimes he doesn't wear shoes

None of that matters a lick with the offense committing 5 turnovers. They win that game with ease if they can take care of the ball. No one gives two ****s about Barefoot Mac Hollins vs the hobbit Pop Douglas if they don't put the ball on the ground.

Douglas could not get to the 1st down line or beyond it because the Pitt DBs were there waiting and had it covered. Douglas went to an area where Maye could get him the ball without fear of an INT.

The play was reminiscent of Faulk coming up short in Indy.

Douglas getting blamed for losing the game is a joke.

Over the first three weeks, DJ Moore has pretty much been phased out of the Bears' offense. Luther Burden seems to have taken his role and Rome Odunze is the clear #1 WR in the Bears' offense. I cannot see the Bears keeping Moore if this continues since his base salary is like $20-23 million a year including this year. He could be dangled for trade in the next few weeks or month or so.

I think he doesn't fit in with the Bears because Caleb Williams is not disciplined QB who gets rid of the ball quickly. Moore's strength is he is quick and not fast and can get open quickly but isn't a burner.

He seems better suited for the McDaniels system where he could be used much the way Edleman was used. Part-time slot/Part-time Z who can get open quickly and is good after the catch. Not sure he is anywhere near Edelman level, but he would immediately be the best receiver on the Patriots if they traded for him.

Since he has fallen down the Bears' ranks and his salary is significant (although not near the top of the market), the Bears probably won't get top dollar for him in a trade. Might even be gotten for a third rounder depending on interest from other teams.

My only concern was he wasn't great route runner in college. Not sure how he has been in the pros since he has always been on crap teams that I had no interest in watching. If he improved in that area, he might be a good fit for the Patriots.

And he is only 28.
Isn't that pretty much Diggs' role now?
