Hey, he's on the next episode of A Football Life.

I am all for athletes offering opinions, but I am unlikely to listen much to an opinion on conduct from a crack-head who was drummed out of the NFL with a permanent ban.

Whether that colloid cyst was cause and effect or coincidental, who knows. I hadn't though of the guy's name for years before I heard he was to be featured on the next episode. He's a nobody and a cautionary tale.

This is really bad news for the NFL. Manly comments are really inconvertible evidence that concussions in the NFL causes CTE. The only explanation for Manly's comments.

I think it's clear that many people posting here are very young, that's all. Those of us that remember him when he played, we recall Dexter Manley being an incredible player. For those of you that don't know who he is, consider these two links:

Manley was phenomenal. It's too bad his brain isn't working properly now, but his career made for quite a compelling story, really.

"The Secretary of Defense" was and always will be Deacon Jones. Comparing a player of Manley's character and limited level of personal accomplishments (yes I saw him play, he was no stud, a good but far from great player on an excellent team) to Jones is like comparing Buttfumble Sanchez to Brady.
