The law is moving more and more toward not giving those accused of domestic violence the benefit of the doubt. Arguments can be made on both sides regarding the wisdom of this, and I shall not debate that in this post. No judge or cop wants to be the one making headlines for letting a guy go free and then he does the unthinkable.Authorities have said there were no allegations of any physical violence. However, under Colorado law, domestic violence can include any crime committed against an intimate partner or their property that is used to intimidate, coerce or seek revenge against them. The law also requires police to arrest anyone they suspect committed such a crime.
The Police were just following the law! Nothing to do with race. The explanation is right in the article that YOU QUOTED!
This is hardly unheard of in domestic violence situations.She is not pressing charges. No harm no foul.
