Denver Broncos LB Von Miller Arrested

Court records show Miller, 24, was arrested for not appearing at his court hearing on a charge from last October when he was cited for careless driving, driving without a license and no proof of insurance.

The arrest warrant was issued in January. There's no word why he was not arrested sooner.

Miller was booked and released on Sunday. The Denver Broncos players had Sunday off from training camp.

Yes, how strange he wasn't arrested in January during playoff time. And how weird he was during pre-season on an off day. What a lucky coincidence.

so hes facing 4 games for a ped test, and now he was arrested, thats strike 2 right? minimum of 8 games suspension plus the 4 if his appeal falls through?

To elaborate on Deus' laconic response: non-drug related offenses are handled differently than drug-related offenses.

Courteous criminal justice. Not too different from letting guys like Dennard serve their sentences in the offseason.

There's way too much that's stupid and cruel about the criminal justice system, but one area where it does behave kindly is in helping people keep their jobs, e.g. by adapting to the seasonality of their work.

What a dumbass. I bet he could have just sent a lawyer and there's no excuse for the license/insurance thing, unless he doesn't have a license.

Careless driving? Bunch of boys being paid like men.

Well, as ctpatsfan77 pointed out, these are covered by two different policies. The thing is Goodell has a lot of latitude on what he can consider with the personal conduct policy. So the drug suspension could be a factor in a suspension in the personal conduct policy.

That said, I doubt it will be in this case and I doubt an arrest of this type would trigger a suspension by Goodell. I think at worst, he would get a fine. But most likely, Goodell will take no actions.

I doubt Goodell will enact any punishment over this. It's about as minor as an arrest can be.
