According to adam Schefter, Demarcus ware is headed to denver for a visit. He also tweeted this: "One AFC West official who tried to get DeMarcus Ware to visit his city said he was told "you're not going to like where he winds up."

So denver gets talib, ward and now ware????

I hope this isn't true. Belichick better get off his rear end and quit being so stubborn. Cut wilfork and save 8 million in cap space if you have to. He isn't an elite NT anymore. Also, is mankins really worth 7 million a year?

DeMarcus Ware gives rundown of his 2013 injuries, angered at how much they held him back | Dallas Morning News

John Elway has been possessed by the spirit of Al Davis.

The Broncos are playing long odds with Talib, Ware and Manning. Talib is a cross-body block by a 190-pound slot receiver away from the IR, Ware is coming off a poor season bothered by back, elbow and quad injuries, and Manning is ancient with a neck that needed four surgeries to prop up a head that is the size of a Mini Cooper.

Good luck, Elway. Keep spending. It will be fun to see how your back ups are doing in November and December.

Wilfork and Mankins are not worth close to what they're getting paid, but they have character. Sure one spent most of last year out with an injury, and the other spent most of the season getting his but kicked by guys like Terrance Knighton, but they're "Patriots type players", and that means everything. Who cares if their contracts mean we can't sign anybody who makes a difference?

The Broncos were a better team than us last year, but taking our best defensive player, signing the best pass rusher on the market to pair with Von Miller and upgrading at safety will only produce overconfidence. The Patriots a will be stocked with high character guys who can't play (Arrington), and they will leverage that overconfidence to victory. It's a brilliant plan. They'll have talent and we'll have a 350lb NT coming off an injury in a passing league, and a rapidly declining overpaid guard.

Lol, love the sarcasm

They were a better team than us last year, and they just took our best defensive player. They improved / we stepped back. You must have forgotten what our defense looked like without Talib - one of the worst in the league.

Yea man! The Patriots suck! Let's start getting prepared for a top 5 draft pick in the 2015 draft

The risk associated with them is marginally higher than the risk associated with a player with a perfect history of health. I will take Talib, Ware, and Manning over 95% of the NFL even with their risks. He is trying to win a Super Bowl, unlike Belichick he recognizes that the window on Manning’s career is closing and without a HOF QB the road to the Super Bowl is a lot harder. He is trying win while he can, we should be doing the same thing.

I hope they do sign him........just reduces the chances of bringing decker back (which is bigger than all the signings they have made including the potential of ware)

Seattle and Baltimore won without a HOF QB......

I know you are being sarcastic but honestly, one year as a bad team would probably help this team a lot in the end. We are always picking at the bottom of the draft; if we had one year of top 10 picks in every round we would benefit greatly. It is not going to happen but for the sake of argument that is what has helped the teams like the Seahawks, Broncos, 49ers and others become elite, they sucked 4-5 years ago and had top 15 draft picks.

See, this is the type of thinking I have a problem with. I get that people don't like losing good players, especially to conference rivals, but this idea that Belichick is sitting there saying, "Gee, I don't need to build a good team this year, because I'll have Brady for the next 10 years!" is utterly ridiculous.

He has a different team building philosophy than a lot of fans here, and different from a lot of other teams. Time will tell whether that is to his detriment, and it certainly may end up being a misguided approach. But to say that he's just in denial about the reality of his championship window is asinine.

I mean.... reading posters reaction, We already are a bad team. So let's get cracking now.

But with overpaying a guy like Talib with Manning at an age where he could hit the age wall this year may be like going all in on a Texas Holdem chasing a royal flush needing the river to be an Ace of Spades.

The Broncos' window with Manning is most likely 2014. Odds are this is his last year with the Broncos. They either win now or start over.

The Pats' window with Brady is 2-3 years or longer. He will outlast Manning because his physical skills aren't diminishing as fast as Manning's and his cap hit isn't nearly as large. The Pats are currently something like $40 million under the projected 2015 cap and can do what the Broncos are doing next year.

The windows for Brady and Manning are very different. Manning is another year older, played three more seasons than Brady and had more wear and tear, and seems to be losing significant arm strength year after year (the guy can't throw over 20 yards anymore without throwing floaters).

It's not good enough to "not be a bad team"...no one questions whether the pats are an elite top 6 or 7 team. However, that's not the goal.ll

Pats fans are brutal come FA..

We're almost as brutal during FA as the Pats.
