How on earth can anyone think Thomas has more upside than Watson? Thomas could be a very good TE and he has unbelievable hands. But come on. Watson runs a 4.5 40 and benches 400 pounds. He has the tools to redefine the tight end position.

Watson benches more than 400lbs. He set the school record with a bench of 565lbs.

Belichick just lately said that Watson has shown more improvement than anyone, last year to this year, other than the typically-large jumps that rookies make to Year 2. Pretty good for someone who was already good last year.
