Oh God, can you imagine if Cyrus Jones started this game?

Yeah, Jones had a bad year, but let it go. The season is over, let it go, and lets give the kid a chance to prove himself in 2017.

This Super Bowl run showed so many former fan whipping boys doing well, from Chung to McCourty to Harmon to Dola to Cannon and more. It's Cyrus's turn now, I get it, but the rookie made rookie mistakes. But this run should teach us that players can get better, can change, and can become key contributors.

Since we need another CB, it would be great to not have to draft one.

So, today at the parade my son had a great moment with Danny that completely shows this guy get's it. As the float came into view I lifted my 12 year old up who was wearing his Amendola jersey, and he yelled "Danny". Amendola spots him right away and points at him with 2 hands, and my son jumped up and pointed back. It was a total commercial type moment, but it didn't end there. As the float came by they continued to yell and gesture at each other. And as the float started to pull away Amendola yells "Thank you dude" and gestures with both hands to his heart. My cold, wet 12 year old was thrilled, and it made his whole wait worth it. I was so impressed with him thanking my boy from his heart for being a fan. I will always root for him regardless where he plays.
That's when a young man solidifies his love for a team, that kind of moment. That's what I've been telling people lately, I'm 54, but I grew up idolizing NFL players, watching NFL Films, mesmorized by the dynasties of the Steelers, Cowboys and 49ers. Now we are included in that, and to have one of those players interact with a 12 year old kid, it just solidifies that love for the team. very classy guy that Amendola.

Amendola has executed three of the biggest Super Bowl scores in Patriots history. That man should never pay for another drink in Boston for the rest of his life.
He probably hasn't for a few years now. Lol

Besides how clutch he's been, we also found out how important it is to have a player who can catch punts.
I remember being absolutely assaulted verbally by a few members for simply suggesting that I'd be keeping an eye on Cyrus Jones moving forward after he had three TC practices in a row where it was reported that he was muffing/fumbling punts... interesting.
