same thing i was thinking...they look at everyone. They also worked out two kickers. they just want to do their work on everyone.

I would be surprised if they did NOT explore Jackson. We will see. I think in the end they will bring in Jackson and Branch to complete the WR position...giving the young guys time to ease into the system

Jackson and Branch on the outside and WW in the slot...that would be an improvement over Moss/WW IMO

We do, have draft choices though. In any case, it sounds like we at least are asking about it.

We do, have draft choices though. In any case, it sounds like we at least are asking about it.

A 1st and 2nd round pick? We would have to be NUTS. The Vikings would not do a 2nd and 3rd round pick. Forget VJ - we just got rid of one superstar, we do not need another.

As for them not wanting to deal with NE, I doubt they still condsider us a 'Super' team like old. It's not a lot different than making a deal with Miami or Cinncy.

My question would be do they think that VJAX is better than any of the "stud" receivers coming out of college? If they think so than pull the trigger and sign him to a long term deal....If not then don't do it.....There is a lot of risk banking on a rookie to be good in the NFL....We have seen more receiver busts in the NFL than almost any position.....I really like VJAX and think that with his combination of speed/size he will work out better than anyone we can draft, plus we know he is successful in the NFL and Brady won't be around forever waiting for a young guy to develop.....We already have Tate/Edelman/Price/Hernandez/Gronk as young receiving options so why throw another AJ Green or Michael Floyd or a young receiver to work with.....Get him someone established that can catch the long ball and be a redzone target.....I would do the trade as it would still leave us with Oak's 1 and Carolina's 2 which is as good as another 1.....Plus we have 2 #3's and 2 #4's....We can still get some impact players and be good for years....

We just traded away a possible Stage I cancer, that many feel was curable or might have even been a misdiagnosis. I hope we don't replace him with Stage IV leukemia case that is already checked in to a hospice.

A first and a second for a guy that won't even play until the 7th week of the season? Look at what Denver got for Marshall, we got for Moss, the Cards got for Boldin and the Steelers got for Holmes. V-Jax is not the best in that ground and we shouldn't pay far and away more than any other team paid for a top notch receiver.

Unless the Chargers lower there demands no way a deal gets done.

When you think of Brandon Marshall, Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards, Randy Moss, Anquan Boldin and what they were traded for, then it seems obvious that the Chargers are asking for too much. BUT the whys and whens of a WR trade always make a difference. A team like New England might decide that Jackson = more than, say, 2 second rounders. The Cowboys traded a lot for Galloway and Roy Williams, after all. So this is not a cut-and-dried measurement. The Phins grabbed Marshall over the summer when the market is light and hope springs eternal. Perhaps only Boldin was worth a premium since he's a solid player with few issues like the other guys. A couple of those other receivers were gone in a fire sale.

So this is not an apples to oranges comparison.

Think about it: Maroney was worth a 4th. So, what is Vince Jackson worth? At least 3 Maroneys. That means he's worth a 2nd. Anything more than a 2nd is the price of desperation, IMO.
