Contrary to popular myth, Bill Belichick talks at length to the media
By: John Morgan

Bill Belichick hates to talk to the media; that's what the national media tells us any chance they get. News flash: it's a myth....

Sadly the media is not interested in technical football speak. They want juicy drama that will get people to tune in and will sell. If the media was actually trying to engage, I'm sure they would find Belichick much more interesting.

BB enjoys talking to the media about things he has interests in. His biggest interest is the game of Football. Not player health, not positional battles, not make believe story lines. When members of the media (rarely) ask him Football questions his response are usually quite long and informative.

So true. Reminds me why I am so turned off by the Olympics. One story every four years would be fine, but the constant BS makes the mute button so desirable. The media day at the Superbowl is another example. I get that the masses don't know X's and O's, but does the media have to ask what kind of tree would you be?

One Super Bowl Sunday, he was on the pre-game set (IIRC it might have been after the loss to the Colts in the AFCCG) talking Xs and Os and it was fascinating how he broke it down for the audience...That's the only time I can remember albeit vaguely that he did that type of thing....
