Connor and Trevor Top 50

So many are down on Campbell and yet he's consistently top 10 overall and the top OL. Yes I'd prefer Carter, Hunter, Graham and Warren, but it's not as though Campbell would be a disaster if he's the pick.
There's a young all pro Guard in FA that we can sign for a lot of years.

I'd rather use premium picks on positions that don't make it to FA.

The Raiders would only need to do that if some other QB needy team has shown interest in the pick which means, hopefully we’d be getting at least a 2nd.
I think Jets and Saints might want to move up. Maybe, Indy.

A lot of projection. For sure. Draft night will be fluid and interesting. I don’t have a lot of confidence in Wolf. Probably, best that he just sits and picks BPA. I’m cool with Graham and Edge or T in 2nd.

I don't think there is going to be a year 1 LT in the 2nd, they are going to be gone.

We'll know if Campbell is a guard in just over a week. Hopefully he tops 33" and shuts down this nonsense.

If Carter and Hunter are gone, and Campbell is at 33"+, it becomes a serious conversation that he is the best pick. After the two Blue Chips the rest of the 10 or so 1st round rated players are all rated around the same, then it comes down to positional value....and LT is one of the 2 or 3 most valuable positions.

I’m hoping to sign my LT in free agency. Ronnie Stanley

We'll know who will actually be on the market in 12days.
Ravens. Usually let guys walk and take comp pick. Given his age and injury history.

We can at least agree he's not nearly as good as Joe Alt was considered to be this time a year ago?
This is this years draft. How anyone stacks up against last year isn't relevant.

It's relevant in that I would much rather trade out of the top 10 then pick what's left after Carter/Hunter. The value at Picks 15-30 doesn't seem like much of a drop off from 5-14.

Consensus seems to be that there's not very many first round grades in this draft (Matt Miller only had 12). I'd rather have someone with a genuine first round grade.

I agree, I want to come away from the draft with at least one of the 1st rd rated players, if not one of the Blue Chips. Now if there are 12ish with 1st round grades, and you assume at least one of the QBs doesn't actually have a grade that high but gets picked high, that means you can pick as late as 13 and get a 1st round grade. IF both Hunter and Carter are gone, a move back that far would get you something like a 2nd this year, and a 2nd in '26. With as many holes as we have, do you just take whatever 1st rd graded player is left, and pick up at top 50 pick this year and next year?

Yes trade back into next year as much as possible.

That's obviously what Bill would do. The question is does Vrabel(assuming he's got final say) have the confidence that he's here for the long-term and doesn't have to just take what's there at 4.

Whilst I kind of agree, I just think the sensible thing is to just sit and take Mason Graham if Hunter and Carter are gone. Arguably he has the highest floor in this draft, will be a leader and tone setter on the DL and on day one becomes one of the top 10 players on the Patriots, if not higher.

If Carter and Hunter are gone there are only three prospects I want: Graham, Warren and Campbell (if arms measure OK and we haven't signed a FA LT).

I was on Graham early, but at this point if I'm just raising the floor I'd rather take the extra pick and get a DT in the 2nd. I think he'll be in the league a long time, I just don't think he is going to be good enough to pass up another top 50 player.
