Good point. I forgot he was the DB coach.

Josh Hoyer is the secondary coach. Corvin's title is "defensive coach". BB brought him in here to help the young kids understand the Parcells/BB way.

He's gotten better but he needs to turn and look at the damn ball when he sees the wide receiver turn. He will be pretty good once he learns that as he's been sticking to his wide outs lately.

just for you guys giving butler **** today, they clearly went over the film today, and said it was the worst call of the year, no one even touched him :

RapSheet Ian R. Rapoport
Also, @DariusButler28's pass interference penalty might be the worst call of the season. Not even sure Butler put his hands on Marshall

Just saw the Bess TD ply again. You should look t a replay. Butler's head was turned toward the QB on the play, but then he turned it back around to Bess at the last second when it was clear the ball was thrown well behind his shoulder and to the out of bounds side. The technique was proper in terms of looking back to the QB, the only question was body position. Butler could have used his body to shield Bess out of bounds, but as for turning his head, it was turned. Look at the replay. He turned it back around toward Bess at the last second because it was clear the ball was thrown behind his head.

I think Darius needs more 1:1 coaching on his techniques. He is still young.

Plus, Arrington is not that good. I;ve seen him out of position many times..

Josh Boyer Hoyer is the guy that throws TDs when Brady is out

Just an innocent typo, but I figured since we don't really talk about him much, might as well fix his name the one or two times we say it

And Corwin Brown has been a good addition too from all that I read. The job descriptions these coaches have can be misleading at times since they do so much, but Meriweather mentioned that Brown is the "safeties" coach:

Clarifying Corwin Brown's role on staff - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

When the Patriots hired Corwin Brown to join Bill Belichick's staff on Jan. 29, the team's announcement did not specify what Brown's duties would be. At that time, Brown had simply been added as a defensive coach.

The team has since added specifics, confirming the obvious that Brown will be working with the team's defensive backs.

Safety Brandon Meriweather had previously taken it one step further, saying Brown was the new "safeties" coach, which makes sense since that is the position Brown played in the NFL.

Brown is the most significant addition to the team's coaching staff in 2010. His presence gives the Patriots two coaches working with the defensive backfield -- Brown and Josh Boyer -- which marks the first time in Bill Belichick's tenure that he has two coaches with the same title working with the secondary. That could mean Boyer, the lone defensive backs coach in 2009, will focus more on the cornerbacks.
