Early reports just minutes ago claim Chester Taylor had to be carted off the field with an apparent arm or shoulder injury.

That 40 Million Adrian just got, will be earned quickly if Taylor goes down on IR or out for awhile, they have no depth or capable backs behind the top 2 guys there.

Adrian is one of my leading candidates for ROTY - If he plays full time and with the lousy WRs minnesota has,you can probably look for about 1,400 yards from the rookie - May instantly become a great fantasy player pick.

RBs more of a you've got it or you don't position.

If he's got the stuff and the lines decent he'll be fine.

Not a good sign when a cart is required for an arm injury.

It's a shame - except for the humongous number of injuries the NFL is the perfect sport but the injuries just affect it so much

Dont think it is that serious from this report:

Update on Chester Taylor injury

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007 by Judd Zulgad Chester Taylor left Blakeslee Stadium on a cart this morning because of a right forearm contusion. Taylor, who rushed for more than 1,000 yards last season, was hit after catching a pass and, after a short period of time, appeared to be in a lot of pain.

Vikings coach Brad Childress downplayed the injury after practice, describing it as a “contusion.”

At the worst it could be a fracture, out maybe until the regular season starts, not that big of a deal.

In the distant future, players will have small, localized forcefields around their joints and heads instead of pads/helmets, and season-ending injuries will be a rarity. Too bad we won't live long enough to see it.

As long as they don't tell everyone that the injury is "day to day", he'll be fine.
