Notre Dame in town for Fiesta Bowl, so local paper giving them lotsa ink. Arizona Republic states that, when the Irish were in the Bay Area for Stanford, the Dolphins were there at the same time to play Raiders. Charlie sought out (fellow-BB-godchild) Nick Saban ... to ask him how one prepares a college team to play in a bowl game.
Saban says he had done it poorly at Michigan State, not realizing that the boys no longer wanted to play football. At LSU, he figgered it out ... and won national championship. He gave Charlie the password. We'll see if it works.
As an aside ... Brady Quinn has decided to return to South Bend for his senior year.
