Yes, but since they don’t have to pay for a franchise QB they’re in a position where they can afford to over-pay, and it may even be a smart move given their situation.

As Great as Rex have been on the Defensive decesions for his Team he is the exact opposite on the Offensive side. I know Charles Clay looks alot like Antonio Gates but thats as far as the similarites go. The guy have not put up the numbers to justify that contract Clay's agent gotta love him. It Wouldn't surprise me if Scott Chandler put up better numbers or similar as the #2 TE here...seems like Rex Reached on this one. Unless Rex has someone or something coming down the pike I would love to see who is the QB that will throw em the ball.

I don't know, with the offensive skill players they've acculated, I could see Cassel doing a pretty decent job. Although with Rex being the coach, maybe not.

Yes, thereby showing that if you give him a good offense, he's not all that bad with it. Face it, he's been in some pretty awful offenses the past few years.

I think we should let Jimmy G maybe start a regular season football game before we start saying we would rather have him than QBs who have proven capable of winning games as a starting QB in the NFL.
