Changes Coming With Patriots Coaching Staff
By: Ian Logue

Some changes are coming in the coaching ranks after it's been learned defensive assistant Corwin Brown and strength and conditioning coach Mike Woicik won't be back next season....

Some changes need to be made on the coaching staff. They got totally outcoached in the biggest game of the season. Some of the coaches on offense need to go too, but that's just my humble opinion. It will be intersting to see how BB fills these positions.

It's all a money saving thing. Who needs a S&C coach when there's gonna be a lockout.

I agree w/Reiss, I think Bryan Cox will be hired. When I saw that he wouldn't be going back to Cleveland my first thought was he'd be coming here.

I'd also like to see the Patriots hire a full time OC. If BB wants to run the defense by himself that's fine, but let's get another guy to devote himself full time to the offense like we had with Charlie Weiss and Josh McD. The Pats offensive gameplan against the Jets was lacking. We were somehow 'surprised' by what they showed us, when a lot of that same stuff was probably done against the Colts in just the previous week.

Whoa!!! I have been asking for this for years. Bryan Cox would be awesome. He will bring back some emotion to the coaching staff for a change. Him annd Pepper together would be a killer combo.

The problem with us having coordinators is that after a few winning seasons they get hired away. I think a lack of coordinators is an attempt at maintaining continuity. We need a Tom Moore (Colts OC who does not want to be a HC) here... a guy who wants to be BB's offensive coach without his own ego.

I agree. Loved what Cox brought to the Pats. Too bad he was on the way out of the NFL before we got him. As a coach, I think he can elevate the area of physical toughness which was so promising after last year's draft. What was expected with the addition of McCourty, Spikes & Cunningham to Wilfork, Mayo, Chung, Merriweather, Wright & Guyton was a tougher/harder-hitting team that established a line in the sand. One, if crossed, would require a lot of pain to accomplish. I think that Cox can be relied upon to instill that killer instinct.

I think we have that just not in name, looks like BB is grooming the latest and he just doesnt have the official title. We went 14-2 so the system cant be all that bad.
