If we can develop CJ into a credible threat this year, it will be very helpful during the offseason.

I'd like to see the Pats cut a non-receiver when CJ gets activated.

Assuming he looks promising, we can then cut Washington during week 12 and bring back TB.

Gaffney isn't going anywhere. If any receiver gets the axe (unlikely), it's Washington. But not for a few more weeks at least.

This is Gaffney's last year with us. If we're going to keep a roster spot open for him, I'd like to see him agree to some additional years.

A lot of the value in these last few roster spots is helping us develop and retain talent for future years.
