RIP Bill. What a warrior. Never failed to speak his mind. The king of Mt. Rushmore.

RIP to the greatest sports icon of my misspent youth and congratulations on a life well and truly lived, we will not see his like again
I got involved in mentoring because of Bill Russel, it has enriched my life immeasurably. A great player, an even better man.
He was...simply the best.

Never seen him play nor do I root for the Celtics but I have a great deal of respect for him for what he said and did off the court. A giant in the truest sense.

RIP.

Saw him in Newport at an exhibition game with the Lakers.. he seemed like an genuine personable man.

Watched many games on the old B & W TV and often listened to the calls on the radio, he was a true force on and off the Court

RIP Bill Russell.. one of the greatest all time.

The greatest winner in team professional sports history.

So awesome how he wouldn't sign autographs but would shake your hand instead.

An indomitable will.

RIP Russ
