Now I think I have to root for OKC just because I think the Knicks would have a decent shot against the Spurs

Thats vomit inducing. Brunson has such a punchable face and attitude it's not even funny. Let's go Spurs let them rattle off another 5 or 6 titles with Wemby and get it over with.

The Knicks are on a ridiculous run right now. I think the depth of OKC would be the best bet to beat them. I don’t hate the players on the team, but on principal I have to root against New York

I'm not going to the mattresses for the Knicks, but I have a little soft spot for them with our very own [sorta] local boy Patrick Ewing being their centerpiece for so long.

**** the Knicks. They’re practically in Jets territory when it comes to championship timeframe, but for whatever reason, the media treats them like a respectable franchise rather than the garbage one they are.

I think people think that they’re like playing with more effort or scrappier in playoff mode. They’re just hitting a **** ton of shots. We’ll see if it continues into the finals or if they’ll come back down to earth.

KAT is probably my least favorite player in the league. Brunson is a flopper. That said I have come to at least respect him. He took less money to play there, he seems like a humble guy and a good teammate, and he sacrifice his body consistently to win. Even if his defense is absolute dog **** and he’s overrated.

Rooting for any New York team just isn’t an option. I’m not even trying to be funny, it doesn’t matter what the scenario is I could never do it. Freaking after 911 when they were in the World Series against Arizona, nothing made me happier than the Yankees blowing it.

When Mariano Rivera was pitching in game 4 vs. the Sox in 2004, I thought of that moment in game 7 vs. Arizona when he blew the series.
So when he came in against the Sox (even though he mowed them down every time that year) I was thinking "he's not a god, he's only human". He had that one pitch no one could hit I still thought "it's not over till it's over". Then I thought "wishful thinking" lol.
From that point on that series was incredible. High drama.
After that series was over I don't think an all-star team could have beaten the Sox in a best of 7.
