Have you guys heard Walt Frazier do color commentary? Just put on the Knicks Pacers game and got Knicks broadcast. I’d never heard him before.
It’s almost like listening to a soft spoken poet. He makes observations in verses and little rhymes. He’ll say things like:
“Levitating and penetrating”
“Rising and surprising is Mathurin”
“Anunoby tried to create off the bounce”
“Oohs and aaaahs now from the crowd”
It’s really simple but poetic. Child-like tone. He’s in his own little world. It’s relaxing to listen to. Honestly I love it.
Mike Breen is the play by play and he’s also great. Both are also pretty impartial.
Give it a try sometime.
Bucks went ahead 16-2. Cs didn’t flinch. Lillard sucks.Missed the game today. Had too much going on. Sounds like the C's didn't need my help.
I'm in NY. Met him at his restaurant a few years ago after a game he wasn't commentating, as nice in person as he comes across on tv. Mostly the rhymes work, other times they're a little forced and in the way of the play. Not over the top homerish, will be objective when a player does something dumb or continually hurts the team. He doesn't do many games anymore (age)....his suits are stylish or or outlandish but part of his persona.Enjoying watching Knicks lose again.

I’m in New York too, and agreed he’s enjoyable to listen to. Don’t know that he brings a lot of insight but just a very likable guy. I’ve always been a fan of Breen too to be honestI'm in NY. Not a fan of Breen, too homerish as you would expect, not for my taste. He's more palatable when he's doing National games.
He's gotta do it for a few more years, butLet’s be honest here…would love to see JT win MVP but the award is more like “best player who isn’t so obviously the best player and deserves the award every year…”
Jokic’s game tonight:
37 points (13/21, 3-3 on threes)
18 rebounds
15 assists
3 steals
On the season, 30-13-11 average
The on/off court stuff is absolutely absurd too. They’re a historically great team with him on the court and a terrible team when he’s on the bench.
Lol
Nobody wants to be Jokic. Everyone wanted to be Mike. I put Russell as the GOAT with Jordan second. Then again, I would have drafted Patrice Bergeron over Crosby if I had to. I just see sports different than some. He's gotta do it for a few more years, but
Jokic is the first legit challenger to MJ as the GOAT.
Don't take this guy for granted. We have never seen this before and may well never again.
Theres nobody in the NBA even remotely close to him.
He's the only player who automatically makes any team a serious title contender by himself in the league today
I'm a proud Boston guy through and through but it's a joy to watch Jokic
Russell and Magic are the only 2 who can put in a serious claim to #1( Kareem is close, but no). They both finished their careers before MJ.Nobody wants to be Jokic. Everyone wanted to be Mike. Denver’s front office doesn’t seem to grasp this. Who cares about second apron when you have a window of just a few more years with a player like that.Russell and Magic are the only 2 who can put in a serious claim to #1( Kareem is close, but no). They both finished their careers before MJ.
Jokic is the only player after MJ who could have a shot. Theres been many pretenders but nobody else has come close.
