A very good friend of mine spends much of his professional life doing development and medical aid projects in Tibet. He has spent many hours with the Dalai Lama, and is friends with a couple of his staff.

One of his staff members is actually an NFL fan , so when I emailed my buddy this photo with the caption below (my favorite thus far), he sent it on directly to that member of the Dalai Lama's staff.

So what started as a simple humor post has made its way half way around the world into the Dalai Lama's inner staff.

That's what you get for not watching all 7 rounds.

Pick #212, Dalai Lama, DB/WR Lhasa U. Doesn't have prototypical size, speed for position, but great instincts and a quick study. A typical Patriots "project," impressed at rookie mini-camp by clapping with one hand at end of huddle. May not have "killer instinct" needed at pro level in a DB, but has uncanny sense of the position of the ball and every player on the field at all times. If Bill Belichick can make a football player out of pure awareness, then Lama might make it in the NFL -- and if anybody can it's Belichick.
