Cameron Fleming Signs With The Cowboys

There's safety in numbers. I hope to see about four more free agent or draft picks
or undrafted players competing for offensive tackle spots.

They already brought in Tobin. He's the Fleming replacement. They need a Solder replacement. That's not Tobin, and that wasn't Fleming.

You presume that there is no advantage in having competition for positions, or as protection against injuries.

I make no such presumption, as you certainly know, so why would you claim otherwise?

A poster suggested that we were likely to bring in several more OT's. Your response was Tobin was Fleming's replacement, and that we needed a Solder replacement.

My suggestion is that Tobin is COMPETING to be Fleming's replacement, and that others may be brought in to compete to be the swing OT.

In any case, there are tow positions, and we could use competition for both, as the other poster suggested.

My post was specifically about Fleming/Tobin/Solder, as is obvious from the fact that I spoke only about Fleming, Tobin and Solder, and noted only that Tobin was the Fleming replacement and not the Solder replacement. Any basic read would have made that all obvious.

As I said, I did not make the presumption you claimed I was making, and that was obvious from my post. Or is it your position that the team's 3rd level OT, who was behind Solder/Cannon and Waddle when all players were healthy, would have had no competition next year, if his name was Cameron Fleming?

And, do you not think that "They need a Solder replacement" means that they need to bring in more OTs?
