It would seem that Stork suffered yet another concussion.. For his safety, someone needs to step in and tell him that he's done. I love how he plays, but his health is more important..

I'm sure that your opinion will mean a great deal to him in making his life decisions.

How about this stork?

Concussions are nothing to fool with......Get an injury settlement and retire.......nothing wrong with that....

This explains why some of the guards have got reps at center. Looks like Andrews will start and we might need a back up center.

I agree completely with your final sentence, but what is the evidence for the first one? It would certainly be ominous if Stork got concussed yet again when the team wasn't even practising full speed.

EDIT: Just saw the tweet from Jeff Howe. Yes. Sad to see him go, but go he should.

Both Mason and Thuney have played center
Yup. If I wasn't clear I didn't mean we had to find the back up in free agency but that one of the guards will need to step up. And it's a good chance for one of them to make sure there active on game days.

And Kline.
And the Cardinals were talking up Cooper as their starting center this year before trading him.

(But he needs to get back on the field before being a factor.)

That would be an interesting twist. But Cooper needs to get healthy..
Kerbyson took snaps at center early in camp, but he's probably destined for the PS.

I agree, it's time to call it quits. I hope he's smart enough to do so. Love the guy, had a great rookie season, won a Super Bowl, now it's time to ride into the sunset.

Too bad for this guy. The scary thing is if this was as recent as about 5-10 years ago, Stork probably would have never missed a single game or practice because of these concussions.

The guy should just call it a career, but it is his choice. He knows the risks. If he is stupid to ignore them, it is his life. I hope he does the smart thing.

Making all the money in the world isn't worth risking things like getting ALS or any of the other serious stuff that repeated concussion can do to you.

This guy played so well in his first year and then just became a vegetable out of nowhere.

He was worth the pick and already paid off his whole contract in year 1.

I was about to open a thread questioning the possibility to kick him to play tackle, if he has the frame to play the position full time not improvising like last year (and he did kind of well considering the circumstances).

Tackles are also prone to concussion but nothing like playing Center.

Things aren't looking very good for him.

Hopefully he can step away while still remembering the SuperBowl he helped win.

It'll be a short career but he'll always have that accomplishment.
