He should be inducted into the Pats Hall of Fame tomorrow.

I'll never forget the pic of him and his kids playing on the field before the SuperBowl. All good things must come to an end. I'm sure that Teddy will find plenty of things to keep him busy.

The definition of hard work, class, and team player.

As fans we all hope to see you at Foxboro either as a fan or part of front office.

You had a great career and accomplished much. You have nothing left to prove. The game has treated you well.

..and thanks for all the awesome memories of me jumping up and down on my couch and dancing like a homie white boy. Man those games were fun to watch (looking back...).

Now sit back, relax, and enjoy your retirement.

I have to think he wouldn't of even come back last season if they had won SB41. It's too bad he couldn't of gone out with a SB win but he has 3 rings at home to remind him of.

Thanks Bruschi!

I thought this was coming..

One of the all time greats, #54 should be retired by the end of his press conference!

Unfortunately, his number won't be retired for a long time, if at all. Some NFL teams are finding that there running out of numbers by retiring them. Maybe this is why Alex Smith is not standing out, he's got the "ghost" of #80...

Don't worry nobody will be wearing #80 in a few days..........

Everything that symbolizes the Pats is right there in Bruschi. Thanks for everything Tedy and good luck for the future...

This is sad news.

Tedy, the Patriot nation will never forget you. #54 will hang on the rafters to remind our kids and grandkids of what defines a champion. You are right up there with Russell. Bird, Yaz, Williams. & Orr in our hearts. God bless you always.

Bruschi and Brown and Brady...the Br Bros. are my all-time favorite Patriots. 1a, 1b, and 1c. The team has been modeled on their play, toughness, and dedication to the fans. I want them all to retire as Patriots. What an awesome ride!

Thanks Tedy!

There is definitely a passing of the guard over to Mayo, etc., but I think players like Seymour, Wilfork, Warren can also step up here and teach the Chungs, Meriwether's, Mayo's, what it takes to win a Super Bowl.

Tedy you will be missed dearly! You were tough on and off the field. You are and will forever be remembered as a Patriot! Best wishes to you and your family!

The passage of time is just so bittersweet. No more Rodney, Tedy, Vrabes.

It hurts. I remember the last Superbowl victory like it was yesterday. Where does the time go?

Belichick showed his human side today and its clear how much of an affection he has for Bruschi.

Bruschi, we're going to miss you... YOU are the definition of CLASS.

FULL TILT, FULL TIME!

Just got back into town after having been away from pretty much every type of communication product possible (including cell phone) and turned it on to see text after text telling me about Bruschi's retirement from my friends (and fellow Pats fans). I can't say I'm absolutely shocked to see this as we all knew it was coming sooner or later, but I can tell you that I am sad as a Pats fan. So long, Tedy. Thanks for the memories buddy.

I'll leave this thread with a tribute video: YouTube - Tedy Bruschi Tribute
