Did Wade violate unwritten rules?
The Broncos apparently think so, according to the Denver Post.
"They came out and game- planned us, blitzing every play," safety John Lynch told the paper. "They came after us. It's no excuse for the way we played. But I think they might have broken the code of ethics for the preseason."
Lynch also wondered whether Wade Phillips was trying to get some revenge for the Broncos firing him more than a decade ago. The veteran safety made sure scribe Mike Klis mentioned that was a joke, but some other Broncos were a bit bitter, too.
Seems to me that the purpose of preseason games (other than to rip off fans) is to get your team ready for the regular season. A head coach hired to fix a defense has every right to get his players real experience and roll his eyes if the opponent's feathers get ruffled.
