I dont think Lowe was that bad, i mean probably somewhere in the 25th-32nd range of left tackles and clearly better in pass protection then running but i never got marshall newhouse vibes from him. Obviously someone you want to upgrade but not the end of the world if he is your worst starter and you slide help his way. I think Brady said something along the lines of "at least i know where the pressure is coming from every play" The problem last year was due to injuries Lowe was closer to our best lineman then our worst. Jacobs on the other side was a disaster, a total dumpster fire, and a free jailbreak every other play. Which i think made Lowe look worse cuz he at least held up for 2 seconds so when they are trying to escape from the immediate pressure the other way they run right into Lowe's guy. Anyway my point is Lowe is young and cheap and the remaining options arent a whole lot better for alot more money. I'm glad they tried to upgrade but there just wasnt anyone worth while on the market so im ok sticking with Lowe for now.
