After hearing that the Pats players and coaches reacted to JG's success on Sunday reminding me of exactly what JG's best attribute REALLY is. And that is his leadership qualities.
Go back to the post game of the Cardinal game ans see how the players respond to him. I'm sure it was the same in SF. JG will be a successful QB in the league because he has a fine set of physical skills, but so does Gino Smith. What elevates JG is that he is both an above average leader who's teammates will follow, and a student of the game. He was taught by the best and it shows.
Unfortunately he's gone because he wasn't the best QB on the team, and to get any value at all, he had to be traded. The timing of Brady's LACK of decline made it impossible to keep him, though lord they tried as long as they good.
I wish him the best, but NOT in these last 4 games. I WANT a pick in the 30's next April. I'm glad he did well, but Brady is still better and will be for at least the next 2 years.
