LOL That would just mean that like yourself BOB also doesn't understand this offense and what it is predicated on. Bill wants Tom to isolate underperformers and focus on his playmakers. He doesn't intentionally put him in the position of having to dealing with underperformers, but somehow it just keeps happening, like some recurring nightmare.
I know you folks all want Brady to throw to the open receiver. You just fail to grasp that doesn't simply entail throwing to a guy appearing open to the TV audience in isolation, because Brady is throwing with anticipation and timing to a spot where a receiver should be open based on post snap coverage and counting on them to do their job once he has. But it seems increasingly that no one on this coaching staff can teach that to a 4th or 5th WR...be he a 10 year veteran or a talented draft pick or a street FA...which is tragic since it is the foundation of the scheme Bill runs here because he is lucky enough to have a QB who can run it.
The coaching staff is so horrendous that they could barely coach up a couple of TEs last year. Imagine the production our passing game would have if they could actually assimilate pass catchers into the game plan? Best slot WR and TE in the game, despite the coaching staff.....please...spare us the football 101 lesson. Belichick should maybe stop trying to fit square pegs in round holes and draft WRs that produced in college...not WRs that ran routes in a run offense (Price) or kick returners with ACL issues and hope he evolves into an NFL WR (Tate). As far as Ocho goes....the basic Bengals game plan was...run a curl, run a slant.. ..get from point A to point B. There was zero indication that Ocho EVER deciphered defenses. So you can blame the aweful coaching, I see it differently.....square pegs round holes.
